We are delighted to welcome Dr. Jinwon Lee from TU Delft, who is visiting our group for two months as part of a QTBW fellowship. Jinwon gave a seminar talk titled "Single-shot readout and coherent driving of nuclear spins in a single atom on a surface", presenting results that push atomic-scale spin physics into a new regime. Nuclear spins offer exceptional coherence compared to electron spins, and achieving both single-shot readout and coherent control of a nuclear spin in a single surface-adsorbed atom is a remarkable milestone. We are very much enjoying the exchange and look forward to the discussions and ideas this visit will spark.
