Our team implements quantum algorithms and quantum protocols, builds distributed quantum networks and performs secure quantum computations in them. We work on demonstrating quantum effects in systems with few particles and how to exploit those for applications.
Our research is interdisciplinary and involves aspects from physics, engineering, and computer science. One key part of our research is experimental and involves the generation, manipulation, and detection of single photons. Another aspect is related to theoretical physics and computer science, for example by understanding quantum effects and developing of new protocols.
