How to find us

Directions

The Institute for Functional Matter and Quantum Technologies is located on the Campus Vaihingen inside the building at Pfaffenwaldring 57 and is therefore easy to reach with both public transit and by car.

Using public transport

Take a DB train to Stuttgart Hbf / Main Station.

Change to the public transport lines operated by VVS, called the S-Bahn. Take either line S1 (to Herrenberg), S2 (to Vaihingen), or S3 (to Flughafen/Messe) and exit at "Universtität" - the fourth stop after the main station.

Exit the S-Bahn stop and then just follow the signposts on campus to Pfaffenwaldring 57.

By car

Exit the Autobahn A8 (Munich - Karlsruhe) at "Stuttgart-Vaihingen" and continue in the direction "Stuttgart".

The second exit "Universität" leads directly to the University's Campus Vaihingen. Continue on "Pfaffenwaldring" until you reach number 57.
