A long time of service to the university of Stuttgart is coming to its end. Michael Schäfer, head of the FMQ workshop, is transitioning into retirement. While he will still support us part-time with his practical expertise in machining parts for our experimental setups, we wish him all the best for this transition into retirement. We all know how much Michael contributed to getting our labs to their current state. To honor Michael's service and say thanks in a way that has established itself as an institute tradition, we gathered in a celebration amongst FMQ members. Michael received a helmet, decorated with "insider jokes" and reminders of our collaboration over the years and further gifts of gratitude.
