In line with the Quantum BW fair in October, we are preparing for the IQSTs booth with insights into our research at the FMQ. One of the insights we want to give is a virtual reality (VR) tour around the precision labs in the „Zentrum für Angewandte Quantentechnologien“ ZAQ, into one of our labs containing our newest STM/AFM of the Loth group, and into the quantum optics lab of the Barz group. While not everyone has the opportunity to see such a laboratory in real life, a virtual tour should give people more of an idea of what atomic-scale and quantum research looks like. The virtual lab tour can also be used beyond the fair, to give people insights into our work environment at the institute.
